Personality
Kinji Kenzaki is a highly spiritual, confident, strong willed person, fairly pleasant, though with a streak of that UGoI stubborness. Quick-tempered, volatile, a bit petty, brave, resourceful, but reckless, and very cunning. Daydreams. Anime and manga fan! (Big plus) Note that she was nice to Bean while they were dating. Likes to take charge, and is quite capable of doing so. Kinji is, in virtually all ways, a twisted mirror image of Abby and Hannah. She is everything that Abby and Hannah may have been had they grown up in a broken home with abusive and neglectful parents. Unfortunately, like many such people, she can be inflexible, short-tempered, stubborn, charismatic, impulsive, insecure, promiscuous, mistrusting, violent, careless, irresponsible, carefree, unpredictable, and very outspoken about her opinions, and at times down-right dangerous. She often browbeats people into going along with her ideas.
Kinji seems to be a nice girl, and unlike her other rivals, actually gets along a little with Abby. Kinji is very proud, as well. There is a feeling that she absolutely hates to be double-crossed or betrayed, and hates the people who do such things. While she would like to believe she’s a cut above her peers in maturity and tries to act it, she’s really not much better than the average teenage girl, getting giddy over boys and such, and occasionally succumbing to child-like behavior. She can be very haughty and aloof, particularly when others call her a whore, but she has a heart of gold, and soft-spot for whom life steps on. Sometimes, people are unaware of her plotting because it backfires before it gets anywhere.
Upon first look, Kinji appears to be carefree and full of life. She enjoys smoking, drinking, dancing, and killing (boy, does she enjoy killing). She loves flirting with other girls’ boyfriends and surrounding herself with life. But her actions are merely a façade for the hurt that she feels inside.
In fact, a lifetime of bad choices have filled her with a feeling of self-loathing so powerful that it forces her to take greater and greater chances with her life.
As for romance, Kinji has a somewhat cynical attitude about men. However she still became infatuated with Bean Kenzaki. At her core, Kinji truly believes that any and everyone that she cares about will eventually abuse and abandon her. Moreover, she believes that she deserves it. This even applies to individuals she perceives as authority figures and especially to the men in her life.
Because of this belief, she has adopted a “love ’em and leave ’em” attitude towards her lovers. She simply refuses to allow herself to care or even share a truly intimate moment with any man.
This victim mentality extends itself to all of her relationships, especially her relationship with Zak and his friends. Nonetheless, Kinji has a deep need for family. Anyone that manages to gain her trust, through overt displays of kindness or compassion, will gain her loyalty.
She is probably the least violent of any of the Earth Special Force’s Saiyajins, but that doesn't mean she can't get mad. Kinji has an unusual capacity for cruelty and violence, perhaps due to her Saiyajin heritage. While Abby and Hannah seem to actively refuse this side of their personality, Kinji embraces it. She brawls and bulls her way through battles, fighting with abandon and losing herself in the fight.
She has described the act of killing as better than sex. Her rough and tumble style of fighting shows everyone her love of wanton violence.
Finally, Kinji loves Walker unconditionally. She isn’t “in love” with him, but she loves him nonetheless. Walker’s refusal to abandon her to the darkness that rages within her has earned her unending loyalty. Like Abby, she would sacrifice anything, including her own life, for him if he needed it. Even though Walker may not have feelings for Kinji, Kinji feels a close bond of friendship with Walker, which Walker, at least, gladly returns to his friend, whom he calls by the nickname "Kara".
Walker tends to bear the brunt of Kinji’s sharp tongue most often. The two frequently squabble over the smallest things, or his seeming inability to take anything seriously…
Walker is a very easy target.
Less insightful people might think, watching the two of them, that they hate each other. However, they’re actually very close friends, and trust each other deeply. Kinji only criticizes Walker because she honestly wants to see Walker achieve his full potential.
For his part, Walker thinks so highly of Kinji that he’s entrusted her with his work, should anything happen to her.
Since childhood, Kinji’s psychic abilities and formidable personality made her something of an isolated figure. The students at her school held her in awe, but were also intimidated by her. The Earth Special Forces seem to be the closest friends she’s ever had.
